Charles Asher is a licensed Marriage Family Therapist and Certified Jungian Analyst specializing in individual, couples psychotherapy, and maintains a private practice in the Sonoma County area with his office in Santa Rosa.
With over three decades of experience as a Jungian analyst and many years as a Marriage and Family Therapist, MFT, and as a graduate of the New School for Social Research, Union Theological Seminary, Andover Newton Theological School, the C.G. Jung Institute in N.Y.C, Charles Asher specializes in Jungian analysis, a depth psychology approach to individual work and marriage and couple counseling. He currently works as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of patients, the word patient, from the Latin, to suffer. Among his areas of expertise are individual Jungian analysis, couples counseling, marriage counseling.
In addition to being an Jungian analyst, and Marriage Family therapist and California Research Psychoanalyst, Charles Asher has served in higher education for nearly eighteen years, as provost, and core faculty at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California. He has lectured and published on process theology, and psychology, particularly Jungian psychology.
